Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre

Woodbrooke is Europe’s only Quaker Study Centre and has been offering adult education since it was founded in 1903.
Woodbrooke’s mission is the ‘fostering of a vital Friend’s ministry’, where ministry encompasses faith, witness, love and service but our courses have always reached a far wider audience than just Quakers.
They offer a programme of short-courses at our site in Birmingham, in Quaker meetings throughout Europe and online.
Their learning programme covers a wide range of courses on Quaker history and theology including Quaker understandings of Christianity and the Bible, contemporary Quaker belief and practice and community and working for a peaceful and just world by preparing individuals and groups, both Quaker and other, to respond effectively to emerging challenges in the wider world.
Woodbrooke also provides day and residential conference and meeting space and accommodation for bed and breakfast visitors who want to visit Birmingham or to enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the house and ten acre organic garden.
