Zorigt Dashdorj

Zorigt Dashdorj is Executive Director of the Mongolia Development Strategy Institute and has his own Eurasia risk consulting practice. From 2008-2012 he was the Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy of Mongolia and was a Member of Parliament from 2009-2012. Prior to becoming a government minister, Zorigt was the founding chief executive officer of a state-owned mining company, Erdenes MGL, in charge of strategic mining projects. He worked in public service for 14 years and was Director of Policy Planning in the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance and Economy. Zorigt started his career in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and served as Deputy Director for Strategic Planning and Coordination and First Secretary of Mongolia's Permanent Mission to the United Nations.
