Professor W.B. Lee is the Chair Professor of the Industrial and Systems Engineering of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Director of the Knowledge Management and Innovation Research Centre of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Professor Lee has pioneered research and practice of knowledge management in various industrial sectors in Hong Kong which include manufacturing, trading, public utilities and health care, and has conducted research projects in knowledge elicitation and mapping, unstructured information management, and organizational learning and innovation. He is currently the co-chief editor of the Journal of Information and Knowledge Management Systems (Emerald) and the chief editor of the International Journal of Knowledge and Systems Science (IGI Publishing).
