Thabiso Thukani

Thabiso Thukani is a Visiting Researcher at the LINK Centre at the University of the Witwatersrand. He convenes the Digital Economy programs that include the Telecommunications Policy, Regulation and Management (TPRM), and the Chief Information Officer (CIO) programs. He has over 17 years Telecoms, Media and Technology (TMT) industry experience from leading markets in Sub-Saharan Africa covering broad areas such as technology strategy, through to policy and regulation. He holds a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Central University of Technology) and a Master’s degree in ICT Policy and Regulation (MA-ICTPR) from Wits. His current interests are in the digital transformation of Africa’s economies with emerging media technologies, architectures and applications.
