Robert Hody

A Certified Master Black Belt in Lean Sigma, Hody has taught Lean Sigma classes, led Kaizen Events and mentored health care projects at Johns Hopkins Medicine since 2006. Beginning in 1995, in GE's first group of Master Black Belts, Hody trained and led projects in operations, design, finance and information technology. He has also mentored projects in manufacturing, supply chain, sales and marketing as a Certified Master Black Belt and a Six Sigma Director with Black and Decker. His incremental involvement with Lean began in 1999, leading to a Lean Site Leader role in GE Healthcare.
Hody earned a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia, and two master's degrees from Virginia Tech — in Engineering and Computer Science.
