Rachel A. Umoren

 

 


 

Dr. Rachel Umoren is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine and the Director of Immersive Learning for the UW Neonatal Education and Simulation-Based Training Program. Dr. Umoren received her medical degree from the University of Calabar, Nigeria and her Masters degree in clinical research from Indiana University. She also completed her residency in pediatrics and fellowship training in neonatology at Indiana University School of Medicine and Riley Hospital for Children. Her research interests are improving neonatal outcomes through team science and measuring the educational outcomes of partnerships for global-public health. She has published and presented internationally on using virtual environments for health professional education.
