Pete Benbow

Pete Benbow is the team lead for analytics and business intelligence within the Technology & Innovation department at Davidson College. His work focuses primarily on Microsoft technologies, particularly SQL Server for data warehousing and data engineering, Power BI for data modeling and visualization, and Azure DevOps for application lifecycle management. He is also experienced in other data platforms like Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Tableau. Regardless of the tools or the technology, Pete is very passionate about using data to build cool stuff.
Before coming to Davidson, Pete was Director of Research & Analytics at the Garretson Resolution Group, where he led business intelligence and digital transformation projects. His work included financial modeling and data analysis for the National Football League's concussion settlement and the Deepwater Horizon oil spill medical benefits settlement. Pete earned a B.A. in Political Science from Davidson and holds official Microsoft certifications in Power BI (Data Analyst Associate) and as a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT).
