Hamid Davoodi

Hamid Davoodi a Senior Economist in the IMF Institute for Capacity Development. He has worked at the IMF since 1997. Prior to joining the IMF, he worked at the World Bank and Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and taught university-level courses. At the IMF, he has worked on more than ten resource-rich countries in Africa, Middle East and Central Asia and delivered many courses, including more than four years of a face-to-face course on Macroeconomic Management in Resource-rich Countries. His research focuses on economics of resource-rich countries, monetary policy, exchange rate policy and fiscal policy. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA.
