Emily Ginier

Emily Ginier is a health sciences informationist at University of Michigan's Taubman Health Sciences Library. As part of the Academic and Clinical Engagement team, she teaches students from the Medical School and School of Nursing about advanced literature search techniques and evidence-based practice. Emily also collaborates with faculty from the Medical School, School of Nursing, Center for Interprofessional Education, Kidney Epidemiology and Cost Center, and four Michigan Medicine clinical departments on advanced literature searching projects, including systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and clinical guidelines. Emily joined the instructor team for the continuing education course Systematic Reviews: Opportunities for Librarians in 2015 and transitioned into the role of project lead in 2018.Through her collaboration with the Center for Interprofessional Education (IPE), Emily leads the Scholarship Workgroup of the IPE Faculty Development Committee and is the Informationist liaison to the Interprofessional Leadership Fellows program. Emily’s professional interests include expert literature searching, interprofessional education, instruction, and evidence-based practice. Emily has a Bachelor of Science in Allied Medical Professions from Ohio State University (since renamed the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences) and a Master of Library and Information Science from Kent State University.
