Emanuela Saporito
Emanuela Saporito, PhD in Spatial Planning and Urban Development, teaches at the Urban Planning and Design at Polytechnic School of Turin since 2010, and is a lecturer in Urban Planning at the Master of Science-level in Architecture for Sustainability Design. She is currently research fellow at the Interuniversity Department of Regional and Urban Studies and Planning in Urban Sociology.
Her research activity has focused mainly on collaborative decision-making and participation in urban planning at the Polytechnic School of Milan and the Polytechnic School of Turin, and as visiting scholar at Harvard University. In the last five years, she has engaged in action-research on community practices for urban change.
Emanuela is founder of “OrtiAlti”, a social innovation project on nature-based solutions for urban regeneration and active member of “Labsus: laboratorio per la sussidiarietà”, with which she is exploring the culture and practice of shared administration of urban commons.
