Denis Zubalov

Assistant Professor, School of Philology, Department of Humanities, National Research University Higher School of Economics. Academic supervisor of the Language Policy in the Context of Ethnocultural Diversity MA programme. Denis Zubalov studied English Language and Literature, University of Cyprus (BA, 2007), and Applied Linguistics, University of Essex, UK (MA, 2008). He received his PhD in Linguistics from the University of Cyprus in 2014. His research interests include language contact, language and identity, language policy and planning, language ideologies, urban sociolinguistics, multilingual and multicultural education. Denis currently lives in Moscow, Russia, and teaches Cross-cultural Communication Theory, Qualitative Methods in Social Sciences, Academic Writing, Language and Society, and Multilingualism and Education among other courses.
