Cyrus Shahpar is currently the Deputy Team Lead for CDC's Global Rapid Response Team. He joined CDC as an Epidemic Intelligence Service officer with the Emergency Response and Recovery Branch. He has worked with humanitarian organizations including UNHCR, UNICEF, WHO, and WFP in large emergencies in Haiti, Pakistan, the Philippines, Jordan, Kenya, and Ethiopia. His primary interests are in innovations, disease surveillance, and information management in complex humanitarian emergencies.
