Tim Jacoby




Dr Tim Jacoby is a Senior Lecturer in Conflict Studies at the Institute for Development Policy & Management and co-founder of the Humanitarian and Conflict Response Institute.

He has published more than 20 articles in international journals and acted as guest editor for Disasters, International Studies Review and the Journal of Peasant Studies. He is also author several books, including Understanding Conflict & Violence: Interdisciplinary and Theoretical Approaches (Routledge, 2008) With Alpaslan Özerdem he is co-author of Disaster Management and Civil Society: Earthquake Relief in Japan, Turkey and India (I.B. Tauris, 2005) and Peace in Turkey? Democratization, Redistribution and Resistance, (Lexington, forthcoming).
