Ruth Prins

Dr. Ruth Prins is assistant professor at Leiden University. She is the program director of the bachelor Security Studies at the Institute of Security and Global Affairs. Prins has two master degrees in public administration, one from VU University in Amsterdam and one from Erasmus University in Rotterdam. She also has a PhD in public administration from Erasmus University. Prins teaches bachelor- and master courses in crisis and security management and in public administration. Her research covers three themes: 1) urban security 2) mayors and local leadership, and 3) police systems.
