Pascal Quiry

Pascal Quiry has been teaching corporate finance since 1986 in the Grande Ecole, MBA and executive education programs. He was elected best HEC teacher in 2013. He holds the BNP Paribas chair.
In addition to be a regular media commentator and a director of several unlisted companies, Pascal has two websites (www.vernimmen.com and www.vernimmen.net) which receive more than 7,500 visits a day. He is the co-author of Corporate Finance: Theory and Practice, a textbook published by Wiley and of Finance d'entreprise the top-selling corporate finance textbook in French-speaking countries; and of 2 newsletters with around 65.000 subscribers devoted to corporate finance.
Pascal Quiry is founder and managing partner of the investment fund Monestier Capital which specializes in investing in start-ups and inlisted SMEs.
He has been managing director in the Corporate Finance department of BNP Paribas where he was head of American and European execution teams from 2007 to 2012, taking care of 180 young professionals. From 2000 to 2006, he co headed the Advisory for Listed Companies team and from 1993 to 1999 the Media team of this M&A department. As such Pascal Quiry has been involved in dozens of M&A deals such as the hostile takeover bids of Total and Sanofi on Elf and Aventis respectively, the restructuring of Axa, Michelin, L'Oréal, Bic, etc. Previously, he worked in the Private Equity side of Paribas which he initially joined in 1986 as a Corporate Finance teacher in its in-house training center.
Pascal Quiry holds an M.Sc. degree from HEC Paris. He is married with 4 children.
Together with his wife, Pascal Quiry is grand donateur at the HEC Foundation and member of its fund raising committee.
