Orin Gutlerner

Mr. Orin Marc Gutlerner is the founding director of Match Teacher Residency (and his initials are really OMG). Prior to coming to Match, Mr. Gutlerner directed Harvard’s Undergraduate Teacher Education Program and did teacher recruitment/training policy work for the Massachusetts Department of Education. He taught middle school in rural North Carolina for four years through Teach For America, back when it wasn’t so hard to get into TFA (1996-2000). He lives in Dorchester with his amazing wife and two brilliant kids, and he also coaches Match High School’s boys basketball team (2 league championships and counting). He earned a BA in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin and a M.Ed. from Harvard.
