Monika Goralczyk

Monika’s research focuses on the use of environmental DNA in monitoring the effects of habitat loss and restoration on vertebrate communities. In particular, she is interested in applying eDNA metabarcoding to study patterns of catchment-scale vertebrate diversity in response to reforestation projects in Colombia. Through her research, she also aims to advance eDNA-based indicators of biodiversity to facilitate monitoring progress of restoration projects.
