Michael Ungar

Dr. Michael Ungar is the Killam Professor of Social Work at Dalhousie University, Scientific Director of the Children and Youth in Challenging Contexts Network, founder and Co-Director of the Resilience Research Centre. In 2012 Michael was the recipient of the Canadian Association of Social Workers National Distinguished Service Award. His ground-breaking work as a family therapist and resilience researcher is recognized around the world for the influence it has had on therapeutic approaches to children’s wellbeing. He lives in Halifax, Canada.
