Martin Kleinsteuber received his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Würzburg, Germany, in 2006.
In his research, Prof. Kleinsteuber explores machine learning methods for data analysis and signal processing. His special interest lies in audio and video signal processing, with a focus on signal separation and inverse problems.
Prof. Kleinsteuber studied mathematics at the University of Orléans, France, and University of Würzburg. He obtained his doctorate there with a distinction in 2006. He spent a year gaining experience at National ICT Australia, Canberra Lab, and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Australian National University (ANU). In 2007, he returned to Würzburg as a research associate. Since 2009, Prof. Kleinsteuber has been junior professor of geometric optimization and machine learning at TUM.
