Lam Lung Yeung

Prof Lam Lung YEUNG received his BSc degree (1987) with first class honor and MPhil (1989) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In 1989, he was sponsored by the Croucher Foundation Scholarship and received his PhD degree (1992) from the Imperial College, London University. He then went to Cambridge University for post-doctoral study. In 1993, he joined the Department of Chemistry at HKUST.

Prof YEUNG devotes himself to education. He is now a member of the School Management Committee of two primary schools and has been serving at the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority since 2000. Since joining the HKUST family, he has enjoyed not only teaching but also helping and counseling students.

Prof YEUNG is married with one daughter. Before moving into the Residence Master's Quarter on the 9th floor, he lived in Po Lam and hiked to campus twice a week. He also loves swimming, tennis, table tennis and weight training exercises.
