Kathy Mak

Kathy Mak received her degrees from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (MPhil) and the University of California, Los Angeles (PhD). Currently, she is Assistant Professor at the Department of Chinese Culture of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Her research focuses on the representation of landscape in Chinese art, especially in the contexts of nation-building, environmental imaginations, and migration in the post-war Chinese worlds. She also investigates the works of the first-generation modern artists of Hong Kong in a global context.
