John F Cabra

John is an Associate Professor at the State University of New York College at Buffalo's International Center for Studies in Creativity where as part of a team they focus on teaching, assessing and researching the science of creativity, training and developing leaders, and facilitating creative thinking and problem solving. John is also a Fulbright Scholar at the Universidad de Bucaramanga, Colombia.

John was an operations manager for American Airlines in Buffalo, New York. He also held internal consulting positions for American Airlines in the fields of training and development, employee relations, and organizational development for its Miami, Caribbean, and Latin America division. Before joining American Airlines, he was a bilingual training and organizational development specialist for Fisher–Price Toys North American and Mexican Operations. John has presented his work in 22 countries.
John earned his Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from the University of Manchester, England, and a M.S. in Creativity and Change Leadership from the State University of New York. He co-authored journal articles and book chapters in business, technology, engineering and creativity. He serves as an editorial board member of Creatividad y Sociedad, a creativity journal published at the University of Barcelona, Spain. In recognition for his work as an expert in the field of creativity, he was awarded the Buffalo State College President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching and grants from the National Foundation and the State University of New York.
