Founding Director of the Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, John Esposito specializes in Islamic studies, religion, and international affairs as a Professor at Georgetown University. Esposito's research is published in more than 45 books and monographs, including Unholy War: Terror in the Name of Islam and The Future of Islam, translated into over 35 languages. Past President of the Middle East Studies Association and the American Academy of Religion, a member of the E. C. European Network of Experts on De-Radicalisation, the board of C-1 World Dialogue, an ambassador for the UN Alliance of Civilizations, Esposito is Editor-in-Chief of Oxford Islamic Studies Online, The Oxford Encyclopedia of the Islamic World and other Oxford reference works on the Islamic world and Islamic Studies.
