Furio Cerutti

Professor emeritus of Political Philosophy, Universitá degli Studi di Firenze; now an adjunct professor at the Scuola Superiore S. Anna in Pisa and Stanford University in Florence.
Furio Cerutti has also been in recent years a visiting professor at Harvard University, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Université Paris 8 and 外交学院 (China Foreign Affairs University), Beijing. His work deals with two major issues: a theory of global challenges, dealing with crucial problems of humankind in the 21st century such as global warming and nuclear weapons, and their impact on the essence of politics. Further he has investigated the question of a political identity of the Europeans in relation to the legitimacy of the European Union and its policies.
