Introduction to Applied Investing is intended for anyone who wants to become more informed and savvier about investing.
Dr. David S. Krause serves as the Director of the Applied Investment Management program at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Dr. Krause is also a finance faculty member where he teaches various investment-related courses. Prior to rejoining Marquette in 2004, Dr. Krause was active in several businesses he co-founded that were engaged in financial services, manufacturing, and healthcare. He received his B.B.A., M.B.A., and Ph.D. degrees in the field of finance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and Northcentral University, respectively. Krause also completed his doctoral studies at the University of Texas-Austin. Over the years he has been published in numerous academic and trade journals, as well as contributing investment commentary via traditional and digital media. In addition to his academic and business consulting pursuits, he serves on the boards of various corporate, charitable, and civic organizations. When not engaged with the undergraduate students in the AIM program, Dr. Krause enjoys baseball, politics, Shetland Sheepdogs, and working on his family’s early twentieth century house.
