Dr. Roper received his PhD in Nursing from the University of Arizona in Tucson, his MS from Georgia State University in Atlanta, and his ADN from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. He has been in clinical practice for over 20 years, primarily in rural, frontier and urban underserved populations in the Deep South and on the west coast ranging from Alaska to the Arizona-Mexico border. Dr. Roper’s clinical and research interests include health care systems, rural health, clinical decision-making, Native American health, and homeless health. His current research includes study of the use of Evidence Based Practice and clinical decision-making among Nurse Practitioners. He has a special interest in complex disease management.
