Tomás Serebriski

In 2012 he joined the Inter-American Development Bank as Sector Economic Principal Advisor of the Infrastructure and Environment Department. From 2002 to 2012 Tomás worked for the World Bank where he led the preparation and supervision of investment projects in several infrastructure sectors. From 2000 to 2002 he worked in Argentina as the Chief Economist of the Antitrust Commission and as a Professor in Universidad Torcuato Di Tella. He received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2000. His areas of expertise are the economics of infrastructure investments, PPPs, incidence of subsidies, logistics, economic regulation and antitrust. Tomás has published extensively in refereed journals, including: Journal of International Economics, Transport Reviews, Telecommunications Policy, Utilities Policy and World Competition. He also published in OECD Roundtables, Boletín Latinoamericano de Competencia and is the author of selected chapters on books, mostly on transport economics and logistics.
