Sergio Ortiz Valdés

Dr. Sergio Ortiz, a former dean of the Tec de Monterrey’s Business School, is an academic interested in entrepreneurship and international business. He has represented Mexico in delegations like the North America Committee, China-Mexico bi-National Committee, Mexico-China high level group, Dr. Ortiz has coached several startups, including some high tech companies, he is partner and co-founder of IM&ST a spinoff of Tecnológico de Monterrey, a company dedicated to develop thermic solar energy technologies. He also worked as a Financial Analyst and Economic Analyst for the Mexican Central Bank. Dr. Ortiz holds an MBA from Monterrey Tech, a Master of Intenrational Management from Thunderbird University, and a PhD in Administrative Sciences from Spain’s Antonio de Nebrija Univeristy.
