Peter Widmayer

Peter Widmayer has been full Professor of computer science at ETH Zurich since 1992.
He has been working with algorithms since he completed his degree in Industrial Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
Algorithms were also the focus of his doctoral and habilitation theses, and together with data structures they are still his main research interest, especially when applied to geometric and combinatorial problems, including parallel computation, and geographic information systems.
