Michael E. Brooks

Dr. Brooks has research interests in the roles of epidemiological history as well as the histories of the colonial Atlantic and European expansion. An avid technophile, Dr. Brooks is also involved in the electronic frontiers that opened in the past decade in online education, and he has spent much of his teaching career developing online course curricula. Prior to joining BGSU in 2009, Brooks taught at a number of Midwestern colleges and universities, including Wayne State University, Lourdes University, and the University of Toledo. He has published a number of academic articles and has a book coming out in the fall of 2014 on the history of the Ku Klux Klan in northern Ohio.
