Karolina Kopczynski

Dr. Karolina Kopczynski is a Polish native, Spanish instructor, professor and facilitator of education courses, dreamer, learner of eight foreign languages, and mother. She has been teaching at graduate schools, community colleges, and public high schools for 15 years. She has been a department head for 14 years. In her on-ground and online classes, she has been using flipped classroom and blended learning methods, as well as much technology to enhance learning, stimulate curiosity, and inspire lifelong learning. As a high school educator, she received the Green Spoon Award for Teaching Excellence in 2003 and the Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction Award in 2013. Also in 2013, she became a co-chair of Foreign Language Teachers of Western Massachusetts Collaborative while working on her second master's degree in Spanish linguistics from University of Jean, Spain. In 2010, she completed her Ed. D. in education with specialization in curriculum and instruction from University of Phoenix. She loves teaching and learning and shares with her students "The roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet."
