José Lull




José Lull holds a degree in Egyptology from the University of Tübingen (Germany) and graduated in Geography and History, specializing in Archaeology from the University of Valencia.

In 2002 he obtained his doctorate with an investigation which was entitled The royal tombs of the Egyptian Third Intermediate Period and Late Period ( Dynasties XXI - XXX) : tradition and change. That same year was published in Oxford, a monograph of the British Archaeological Reports .

From 1998-2005 he worked as an assistant research scientist in the department of Egyptology at the University of Tübingen ( Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen), where he graduated and made their doctoral and postdoctoral research fellowships from the DAAD and the Ministry of Education and Science . All these years in Germany, and the fact that he previously studied at the University of Valencia, allowed him to be trained as an Egyptologist, specializing in Egyptian Third Intermediate Period ( Dynasties XXI- XXV ), a time lag between the complex and the eleventh century seventh century BC.

He is Professor of Official Master of Egyptology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the only officer that exists in Spain, where he teaches Egyptian Archaeology, Epigraphy, History of Egypt 's New Kingdom and Third Intermediate Period History and Saite Period . Similarly, a professor of Egyptology Certificate in the University of Valencia, where he teaches History I, Culture and Religion, Art , and History II .

Since 2012 he is a postdoctoral researcher of the Department of Sciences of Antiquity and the Middle Ages at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

In addition, throughout the year as visiting professor or guest lectures at various Egyptology courses, both graduate university extension as at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and University of Alicante. Likewise, makes numerous lectures and courses in various cultural and research centers .

During his stay in Germany, he participated in several research trips to Egypt , visiting various sites of the Delta ( as Bubastis , Tanis , Mendes , etc. . ) And Upper Egypt . Moreover, since 2002 , he has participated in excavations in Egypt Spanish and foreign in the necropolis of Dra Abu el- Nagah ( under the direction of Dr. Galan - CSIC ) and the - Asasif ( under the direction of Dr. Gomaa - University of Tübingen ) .
