Jeff Borland

Jeff Borland is a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Melbourne. He has a B.A. (Hons) in Economics and History from the University of Melbourne, and a Ph.D in Economics from Yale University. He has held a full-time teaching position in the Department of Economics at University of Melbourne since 1988. He was also Head of the Department between 2003-2006. He was a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research at the Australian National University between 1996-98, and has had visiting teaching positions at the University of Iowa and University of Wisconsin-Madison. His main research interests are program and policy evaluation and design, applications of microeconomic theory, analysis of the operation of labour markets in Australia and Australian economic history.
