Harish Chandra Verma

Harish Chandra Verma (born 3 April 1952) is an Indian experimental physicist (Scientist) and professor in the Department of Physics at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India since 1994. His field of research is nuclear physics.
He has authored several books on physics at the graduate, undergraduate and school levels. His two-volume work Concepts of Physics is highly esteemed by students and physics lovers for its depth and clarity of presentation of physics concepts. He has taken initiatives like Shiksha Sopan to elevate the standard of physics education in India. He is also releasing a hindi edition of his book. According to his website, he is currently working on a book dealing with electrostatics, magnetostatics and electrodynamics at the undergraduate level.

Learning Physics through Simple Experiments (IIT Kanpur)

This course will cover some basic principles of Physics and will describe them through few simple experiments. Sometimes the phenomena will be shown first, then in order to understand and analyze it, the theory will be explained. In some cases it will be the reverse.
