Frank is a tax partner and member of the Board of Management (Raad van Bestuur) at PwC, responsible for Clients & Markets.
Frank also is a member of the PwC AEX-Midkap corporate tax group based in the Amsterdam office. He has over 15 years’ experience in advising Dutch multinationals on corporate income tax, EU internal market law and tax treaties. He has broad experience in structuring corporate reorganisations, financial products and transactions, mergers & acquisitions and treasury operations, as well as tax controversies. On several occasions he was an expert witness in cases involving international tax matters.
Frank is the former chairman of PwC’s European direct tax group, a European network of EU tax law experts, and a member of PwC’s international tax services network.
In addition to his role within PwC, Frank is a professor of international and European tax law at Leiden Law School and a fellow of the International Tax Center Leiden. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisers (NOB), the Dutch Association for Fiscal Research, the International Fiscal Association and the European Association of Tax Law Professors.
In 2009 he was appointed deputy justice in the Court of Appeal of The Hague.
Frank has authored and co-authored several books and numerous articles on international and European taxation issues.
