Dominique Rossin

Dominique Rossin joined the Computer Science department at LIX, Polytechnique School in March 2010. He was previously in LIAFA, at University Paris Diderot for almost 10 years.

As a computer scientist he works in the area of combinatorics and algorithmics. Combinatorics is at the edge between computer science and discrete mathematics and aim at the understanding of structure, to be able to count them or generate them. From 1998 to 2005 he was mainly involved in combinatorics and more specifically in the combinatorial study of discrete dynamical systems like the sandpile model. Since 2005, he moves to a more algorithmic problem, more specifically permutation patterns.
