Dave Hunt




Dave was an active duty member of the United States Navy serving eight years as an enlisted Aviation Electronics Technician and 12 years as an Aerospace Maintenance Duty Officer.

He served in organizational, intermediate, and engineering service commands performing aircraft maintenance duties. Since retiring in 2011, Dave started working as an Adjunct for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and then became the Director of Academics for the Camp Pendleton campus. In 2013 his position changed and he became an Assistant Professor in the College of Aeronautics. In 2015 he became the Associate Program Chair for the Bachelor of Science in Aviation Maintenance.

This course presents an overview of the global maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) industry. Regulatory and certification requirements governing the global MRO industry are examined. Topics within the course include: global challenges, opportunities for advancement, the growth of the MRO industry, human resources, and logistic support.
