Groundwater Flows (WST)

The following topics will be addressed: Hydrodynamic properties (porosity, permeability); pore pressure under a dam; flow net; transient flows; pumping wells; complex potential method.

You will learn to:

- calculate pore pressure and hydraulic head for the flows under a dam;

- drive a pumping test and to simulate the drawdown for a group of wells

- assess laboratory or field hydrodynamic parameter (permeability, specific yield);
