Course Overview


Week 1: Communication Essentials

You'll start the course's 1st week with the need for communication and figuring out the right audience for it. You will also take a look at the challenges and barriers modern communication and workplaces deal with and develop your own communication plan!


Week 2: Communicating clearly

In Week 2, you will focus on various communication channels and tools we use in modern workplaces, compare them, and evaluate them based on your organisation's needs. You will learn how to make communications as a workplace leader positively reinforcing, respectable, and a two-way process.


Week 3: Improving communication

In Week 3, you will consider how audience feedback can help your improve communication skills. You will also go through follow up procedures that are required after the communication has taken place. This week will also have some tips on how to implement continual improvement in communications at the workplace.


Week 4: Incorporating policy in communication

Finally in Week 4, you will consider and incorporate workplace policies and industry regulation into communication. You will practice dealing with conflicts with effective communication skills.

Lastly, you will explore maintaining communication records and policies and procedures that guide organisational record-keeping.
