The nine-week course provides insights into key issues and contents of various engineering disciplines. It is designed to help interested people from Germany and abroad with their personal orientation towards a postgraduate degree in engineering.
The nine-week course is a joint offer from the alliance of leading Institutes of Technology in Germany (TU9) and is suited to all students interested in taking further studies in engineering science in Germany. A total of 18 different disciplines from engineering science will be presented, ranging from structural mechanics and IT security to space systems. Each week of the course is centred around a live interview session in which renowned TU9 professors explain in detail their specialist field and the requirements for studying at their respective university. They also suggest tasks for the participants to complete. The participants then have the rest of the week to work on, and exchange ideas related to these tasks with other participants in the forum. The focus of this course is on presenting the full range of engineering science studies in Germany and giving a well-grounded insight into the topics, working methods and requirements of the various engineering science disciplines. Alongside this component on developing your personal path of academic study in this field, the course also offers you the opportunity to meet like-minded people.
In this way, you can learn more about your personal aptitude for an engineering degree and make contact with other prospective students.
The course design allows for participation in either the whole programme or in individual topics only.
Registered participants will have the opportunity to receive a statement of accomplishment. Condition for this is the completion and submission of at least five weekly tasks.
