Modern Standard Arabic (MSA; Arabic: اللغة العربية الفصحى), Standard Arabic, or Literary Arabic is the standard and literary variety of Arabic used in writing and in most formal speech. The modern standard language is based on the Classical language. This course is a Arabic(MSA/MWA) basic-level language program developed by the Foreign Service Institute (FSI).
The course has been used for over thirty years by United States government diplomats and officers for learning the Arabic language.
