**Objectives:**

- Eliminar la brecha de dominio algebráico para tomar cursos de matemática superior.

- Utilizar contenidos básicos de álgebra en la resolución de problemas algebraicos que tienen que ver con la simplificación de expresiones y resolución de ecuaciones.

Jan 16th 2017

Il corso copre la matematica di base, permettendo di colmare eventuali lacune e di mettere a punto la preparazione necessaria all'ingresso all'università.

The course covers the fundamentals of Math, thus allowing to fill high school gaps and to optimize students’ knowledge as they start college.

Jan 16th 2017

Il corso affronta le tematiche dell’elettromagnetismo e dell’ottica partendo dall’applicazione del metodo sperimentale, per prepararsi al meglio all'ingresso all'università.

The course addresses the thematic of electromagnetism and optics, starting with the applications of the experimental method, to better start the academic learning path.

Feb 13th 2017

This course provides an introduction to complex analysis which is the theory of complex functions of a complex variable. We will start by introducing the complex plane, along with the algebra and geometry of complex numbers, and then we will make our way via differentiation, integration, complex dynamics, power series representation and Laurent series into territories at the edge of what is known today.

This course provides a brief review of introductory algebra topics. Topics to be covered include integer operations, order of operations, perimeter and area, fractions and decimals, scientific notation, ratios and rates, conversions, percents, algebraic expressions, linear equations, the Pythagorean theorem, and graphing.

Jan 25th 2017

Learn the mathematics behind linear algebra and link it to matrix software development. Linear Algebra: Foundations to Frontiers (LAFF) is packed full of challenging, rewarding material that is essential for mathematicians, engineers, scientists, and anyone working with large datasets.

Feb 27th 2017

Data analysis has replaced data acquisition as the bottleneck to evidence-based decision making --- we are drowning in it. Extracting knowledge from large, heterogeneous, and noisy datasets requires not only powerful computing resources, but the programming abstractions to use them effectively. The abstractions that emerged in the last decade blend ideas from parallel databases, distributed systems, and programming languages to create a new class of scalable data analytics platforms that form the foundation for data science at realistic scales.

Feb 27th 2017

This course covers mathematical topics in college algebra, with an emphasis on functions. The course is designed to help prepare students to enroll for a first semester course in single variable calculus.

- MOOC stands for a Massive Open Online Course.
- It is an online course aimed at large-scale participation and open (free) access via the internet.
- They are similar to university courses, but do not tend to offer academic credit.
- A number of web-based platforms (providers Aka initiatives) supported by top universities and colleges offer MOOCs in a wide range of subjects.
- How to Be a Successful MOOC Student - MOOCs – Massive Open Online Courses – enable students around the world to take university courses online. This guide, by the instructors of edX’s most successful MOOC in 2013-2014, Principles of Written English (based on both enrollments and rate of completion), advises current and future students how to get the most out of their online study, covering areas such as what types of courses are offered and who offers them, what resources students need, how to register, how to work effectively with other students, how to interact with professors and staff, and how to handle assignments. This second edition offers a new chapter on how to stay motivated. This book is suitable for both native and non-native speakers of English, and is applicable to MOOC classes on any subject (and indeed, for just about any type of online study).
