This course explores the fundamentals of digital image manipulation & its application on the Web & print.
Students will use image manipulation/creation software to create images for a variety of applications & purposes. Some of the topics covered in the course are working with layers, color techniques, making selections, working with type, bitmap versus vector images, masks & alpha channels, optimizing file compression for the web, slicing images for the web, & document automation.
